We came here in the afternoon and what a disapointment. Staff was anything but friendly and we speak Spanish. After paying the entrance fee they said " O there are some exibits that are not open today". There were no crocodiles, no birds, no mayan...More

Not far from our hotel where we stayed, we weren't sure what to expect here but it was well worth it once we found it! Signage could definitely be improved. From being allowed to taste a traditional hot chocolate drink complete with a personal spice-it-yourself...More

We had read many positive reviews of the Chocolate Museum and had it on our list of places to go. It was definitely worth the small entrance fee for our family of four (2 teens aged 18,15). The displays of information were detailed and the...More

Reasonable walk through a lovely jungle setting. Trees and plants are marked with many fruits and nuts you otherwise would not know. Halfway through, a Mayan dressed in traditional paint and clothing escorts you to a small, amphitheater for a demonstration of a rain dance....More

We added a tour to the Choco Museum on a whim and it was well worth it! The grounds are very well-kept and the information well organized and clear. Particularly enjoyed the interactive experiences - the ceremony and the hot chocolate!

This was the surprise of the trip. I wasn't expecting much of this place and I left with a big smile on my face. It was really entertaining and educational, you can feed the spider monkeys and fawns (rescued animals) and enjoy a classic Mayan...More

It won't take you more than an hour, but it is worth a visit if you are at Uxmal. We learned more of Mayan history at this museum than we did at the pyramids. Besides the free chocolate (including a Mayan drink more like coffee...More
