Jamie and Grace were amazing guides on this tour. It was raining heavily on our way to the stables, but by the time we were riding it cleared up mostly. They had a wealth of knowledge to share about the valley and everything living there....More

Sort of a difficult review to write. The people were nice enough, and seemed to try to pair people with the "right horse". The transport van had duct tape on the seats which left residue on your pants. The ride in the valley was relaxing...More

Sorry the beauty and history of this sacred valley did not permeate with you. Mahalo for your thoughts

The drive or hike down to the valley is scary enough to turn away even the most adventurous tourist. So why not have someone else drive you down there? Our guide drove our group down to the valley floor, giving history and insight about the...More

The Waipio valley is a step down from heaven. The horses are well cared for and easy for an eight year old without experience to handle. Definitely something I would recommend

Jamie, our late 20s guide, acts as if he has lived a hard scrabble subsistence for 60 years. Pulling on his electronic cigarette at every break, he performs well his character of Hawaiian cultural guide/Cowboy/botanist, having grown up his whole life in the valley. "Jokes"...More

Sorry, beautiful waterfalls in the distance but no swimming. Ride the rim does an ATV tour above the valley where you stop for lunch and swim at a waterfall. Either one is great.
