Bekonscot Model Village and Railway is the world’s oldest original model village. Set in Beaconsfield, just outside of London we are a popular day attraction for people of all ages.It was opened in 1929 and it’s a great place to bring the family and stomp around like giants! There are six model towns, a huge Gauge 1 model garden railway, ride-on railway, remote-controlled boats, castles, lakes and industries in 1.5 acres of award-winning gardens. It's a great family day out, and it's your chance to be a giant in a miniature land of adventure, hidden away in a 1930s timewarp. It’s a big day out full of really nice small things and we'd love to see you soon!

Fantastic day out. Would highly recommend a visit here. Our nearly 3 year old loved it all especially the model trains. Nice family picnic area with a play area around the corner. There is also a small restaurant/coffee shop. We will visit again.

It’s been around a long time but has certainly stood the test of time. I was a bit concerned our 2 and 5 year wouldn’t appreciate it - but they loved it. There’s such a variety of models and miniature trains and also a mini...More

fantastic and huge village with all the houses and people frozen in time. The railway was running round, witha fanatic controlling it from a real signal box. Great for all the family, but it's closed in winter

My wife and I visited with her 96 year old mother (in a wheelchair) who enjoyed it as much as a 6 year old. A perfect afternoon out for pretty much anyone - you are transported to another world bustling with life in a perfect...More

Although the buildings are small, the architecture doesn't lack detail and definitely does not disappoint. The quality of the landscapes, settings and street scenes are splendid. The atmosphere created by detailing is very convincing, making it possible lose yourself in this magnificent Lilliputian world.

What with constantly moving trains, boats and a working coal mine, the models are top notch. Walk round slowly to take it all in. Often no choice as regularly very busy one-way-system.

Having my mother living near this amazing model village while my kids were growing up was a huge bonus. It's worth travelling to though. I've been to quite a few model villages, both in the UK and abroad and this surpasses them all. The streets...More

Thank you for your enquiry. The paths are relatively narrow but it is suitable for pushchairs and prams provided they are not too wide.
