First time visiting Waddesdon Manor. Despite the rain on the day, I thoroughly enjoying looking around. Park in their spacious car park and jump on the bus for a short journey to the house. The house was closed and all statues around the grounds are wrapped up to prevent frost damage, however the grounds are lovely to walk around. It's... More

We visit the garden and grounds every few months and went along yesterday to see the snowdrops. There are lots out along the Barons Walk and in the Tulip patch. The grounds are only open Sat and Sun until later in March when the house reopens but you need to go soon to see the snowdrops at their best.

Thank you for your nice review jlynch84. Really pleased you came along to have a look at the beautiful snowdrops. The daffodils have just started to bloom in places, so hopefully you will be able to enjoy them on you next walk. More

We were in the area and arrived too late to visit the house but visited the cellar, gardens and stables(ceramics exhibition) . Worth visiting for those alone. Very organised with excellent bus transfers to main house. Gardens have a small but impressive aviary and stables have changing exhibitions. Shop has probably the best wine collection I have ever seen, and... More

Was looking for a child friendly activity for half term and stumbled across Waddesdon Manor. Well organised event that has the kids running around the gardens for hours without any complaints. Can't wait to return when the House is open.

Have enjoyed the grounds on several occasions and recently toured the house. The grounds provide a lot of space for walks through both formal and treed areas. The approach to the house is very impressive. This Rothschild chateau is vast. Always enjoy visiting the aviary and playing spot the birds. Spring is special with the Daffodil Valley. Some of the... This is a National Trust property. We walked from the hotel ( The Five Arrows) which is about 15 minutes at a slow amble. We then walked through the landscape on the longer route and returned to the hall. It was closed up until April but still worth the visit to see the Rothschild estate. Make sure you visit the... Waddesdon was the first NT place we visited, we fell in love with it, and it prompted us to become NT members, for £11pm we find this excellent value. The house & gardens are just beautiful, with lots to see & do for all ages. In every season it gives you new things to see. There are lots of events... More

Went to Waddesdon today for lunch and a walk. Really impressed that they had thought to put sheepskins and blankets on all the chairs in the courtyard for those eating there. Well done National Trust!

We attended a relative's wedding held in the Dairy. The venue was very good, but I don't think the chef quite understood you need to kill the meat before you cook it. I am not a fan of blood on my plate. Otherwise the food was a picture on a plate, which is not my taste. The staff were excellent... More
