If you have a passion or just an interest in history Peckover House is a lovely place to visit, find out about the Peckover family and how they helped the local area (Wisbech) and enjoy a snack or even a meal in the lovely barn restaurant! You won't be disappointed.

As a member of the National Trust, we are so lucky to have Peckover House just around the corner. The kids (5 yrs and 1 yrs) love the Gardens and the trails are brilliant for them!

Although on a cold and wet February day Peckover House does not look that inviting, we persevered and we were rewarded for doing so! We booked on the guided tour when we arrived, which gave us time to explore the 2 acres of land/gardens to the rear of the house & of course the obligatory visit to the coffee shop.... More

An interesting national Trust property and very sad to admit that although we live locally and belong to the National Trust this was my first visit. Excellent staff very knowledgeable.

A great historical visit where we enjoyed very helpful talks in most rooms of a beautiful bankers house, with the added bonus of extensive gardens and well sorted restaurant. Also has a second-hand bookshop with very fair prices, all profits are fed back into maintenance of the house and grounds.

The house itself is well worth a visit, we are National trust members so entry cost nothing in order to view the Christmas decorations. The agrdens are wonderful too in all seasons, if you are paying full price I would advise going in good weather so you can take... More

On the way back from a few days away we stopped here and really enjoyed it.The house did not open for a hour when we arrived so we wondered around the very well kept gardens and had a cuppa in the barn. The house then opened and we went inside and it differed in a nice way from other stately... More

What a lovely place to visit, history ooze's out, and a surprise on our visit was many of the hidden draws, doors to objects were open so we could see 'whats behind the door' Very informative and friendly staff. Lots to see both in the house and the gentle rambling gardens, easy to walk around. Photos were welcomed in the... More
