The castle is now to be run by the Wisbech town council. The site has great potential for various uses. In the past we attended a performance of Romeo and Juliet. A large archaeological community dig took place which we took part in. The building...More

This fascinating site is in the possession of Cambridgeshire county council however they wish to divest themselves of the responsibility for maintaining it. Well worth a visit but the future use and ownership is uncertain. Visit it if you can.

We enjoy going to Wisbech castle to see how it has been restored and also to go in the dungeons. They also do the nicest cream teas. It's peaceful in the garden also.

Having lived in the Wisbech area most of our lives we decided to go and see this historical "castle" All I can say is we were both very disappointed with the house the actual leaflet with the history was more interesting than the castle

Yes disabled parking near library. 'Castle' being taken over by the town council so don't know whether it is open to public at present. This castle is a building that is on the site of the former castle.
