This fascinating site is in the possession of Cambridgeshire county council however they wish to divest themselves of the responsibility for maintaining it. Well worth a visit but the future use and ownership is uncertain. Visit it if you can.

We enjoy going to Wisbech castle to see how it has been restored and also to go in the dungeons. They also do the nicest cream teas. It's peaceful in the garden also.

Having lived in the Wisbech area most of our lives we decided to go and see this historical "castle" All I can say is we were both very disappointed with the house the actual leaflet with the history was more interesting than the castle

The history of the site is fascinating, revealing why this Georgian house is called Wisbech Castle. Sadly the vaults were not open when I went as the rain had put paid to... More
