What a great time we had. The hotel is an old country house that has been extended. There are old rooms and new rooms. Our room was in the new part. It was large, well appointed, with superb views over open countryside. The level of service was very high, the staff were welcoming, efficient, and warm. We enjoyed the food... More

Surprise birthday treat from my 2 sisters and my mum. Wonderful! I have had to classify it as Family (teens) however we are all beyond that age range! Spa treatments very enjoyable and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

Well perhaps you should be aware that despite selling itself as the place to 'relax, unwind and put your feet up' after two hours of waiting, me and my partner finally got a lounger to relax on... and we began to unwind in the lovely environment :-) That was, until the kids arrived... I'm a family guy don't get me... More

We visited as part of a classic spa break deal. We had stayed in the hotel the night before and ambled over in the morning. The staff were great, the facilities were good and the treatments were relaxing. The food was pretty good with the exception of the puddings. Neither the chocolate brownie or the bakewell tasted of much. I... More

Came here alone for a spa day to chill out and relax. It was a perfect day. I had a champagne afternoon tea included in the deal. It was great because I could have the tea in the spa cafe and not go over to the main hotel. Treatments were good and service was very friendly and professional. Recommended!

We booked using a travelzoo voucher which included a facial, back massage and champagne afternoon tea. We received a warm welcome from staff and were shown around the facilities. The main facilities are arranged around the swimming pool and we really enjoyed the hydro therapy pool. There are a selection of loungers located around the pool if you want to... More

we have stayed here a few times over the years, a lovely homely and friendly hotel with a great spa. The restaurant is of a great standard and the bar which is only small is great with great staff. The rooms are modern but classical so you don't get the feeling that you get in a chain hotel no matter... More
