I took my daughter on a one day cooking class to Cheshire Cooks last weekend. We did the "Taste of the Mediterranean" class, which started at 10.00 and finished before 17.00. The whole experience was first class, right from the friendly welcome to the expert tuition to the beautiful surroundings, to the quality of food produced. Chef Philip is a... More

After meeting Janice at Tatton park food festival I was blown away with the different approach and what was to offer at Cheshire cooks. I took my mum for a much needed girly day out and what a treat it was! We went on the fish and shellfish course, it was informative, fun and a great experience. The amount of... More

I went on the Taste of Spain cookery course to hopefully feel competent enough to re-create happy memories of wonderful meals on holidays in Spain. I was a little apprehensive about my culinary abilities as I've become a bit lazy the last few years allowing my husband to be the creative one in the kitchen. Philip and Janis were incredibly... My husband bought me a cookery course at Cheshire Cooks as part of my Christmas present. I was a little bothered about going on my own but I needn't have been. As soon as I arrived I was put at ease by Philip. A lovely coffee and a chat about all sorts while we waited for the other participant to... More

We were two of the others with Michele at Taste of the Med last weekend and agree wholeheartedly. Janice and Philip were perfect hosts and have created a wonderful schedule/menu for the day. The 15 dishes took us on a culinary tour of France, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Morocco and Syria. We made pizza and pasta, soups and stews, starters... More

I had a great day yesterday on 'a taste of the Mediterranean' course. I went on my own and had great fun with other 4 people on the course. We made about 16 dishes, during the day, eating some for lunch and taking the rest home, which will keep us fed for a few days. It was a lovely relaxed... More

We had a superb day with Philip and his charming wife at their immaculate lakeside home. We learnt skills and techniques to produce fourteen (edible) dishes focused on a Mediterranean theme. Philip's approach left us feeling competent (how long will this last!?) and that cooking was also great fun! Great company (we went along with two friends), good food, new... More

What a superb day the Knutsford Rockies had on Saturday when 5 of us experienced Philip's fantastic Mediterranean Course. From start to finish the attention to detail and quality of the day was superb. Completing 15 very different courses in just under 6 hours is no mean feat, so don't expect to be sitting down much, but Philip's professionalism guides... More

Myself and 4 friends from our Knutsford Rock Choir attended a Taste of Mediterranean day at Cheshire Cooks. The venue is gorgeous and Philip and Janice are great hosts. Over coffee when we arrived Philip explained the format of the day and we were amazed to hear that we would be cooking twelve different dishes during the day. We can't... More

What a wonderful experience, it couldn't have been better. Philip and his wife Janice are a delightful couple. They made us feel very relaxed . We cooked 15 different items in one day! Didn't ever imagine that was possible! This was only possible because of the thought and care that Philip had put into the menu choice. Everything was pre... More
