The process of milling is quite straight forward across all mills, the difference here is the history of Heron Corn Mill. The tour guide was a mine of information about the whole of the site - including the paper mill across the river! A really...More

We visited this on the same day we went to the Fairy steps. It was certainly entertaining and we enjoyed it that much that we are going to return to see a full demonstration of the mill working,

Very fascinating with the old water turned machinery. A really intriguing industrial visitor centre just tucked a couple of minutes off the A6

Super friendly and knowledgable team running this working mill. Very reasonable priced refreshments and just-baked bread for take away are the icing on the cake, so to speak. Free parking for many cars too. Nothing not to love. Highly recommended.
