This attraction is just great. Robert was our guide and he was very well informed with a wry humour to go with it. Very well set up and a real eye opener about the industrial past of the Lakes district. Also of importance is how...More

A fantastic piece of social and local history, the ladies running the site this week were great, with working demonstrations of an industry most people know little about. A genuine time capsule in a lovely location.

An English Heritage owned attraction (so free to members) that we found very interesting. The guided tour was very informative. The mill is about a 20 minute walk from Lakeside, but there are no pavements so care should be taken.

This depends on the size of the motor home, the road is narrow and it will be a tight turn into the car park, once in there is plenty of room to park a motor home
