lovely charming ,lovely people nice surroundings and area what peace is all about, the place is scenic and the church was beautifully crafted by a carchitect who new his stuff viewing is highly recommended

The scale of this church is unexpected in a small market town, but it is beautiful and very well maintained - not as a show piece but a place of worship. Worth adding to your itinerary.

We have been to Ashbourne many times but never visited St Oswalds. This is a very old and very beautiful church and well worth a visit. We will certainly go back as they were preparing for an important visitor and so our time was limited....More

Not really "into" churches but St.Oswalds is a gem of a church, almost a cathedral in it's size and architecture. Approached from the Leisure Centre Car Park along a hidden path and past a row of almshouses, quite popular in Ashbourne, with magnificent gardens thrice...More

We entered the churchyard past the alms houses and were struck immediately by the history and tranquillity of this wonderful English setting. The slightly quirky interior architecture with the pillars down the centre is quite charming but the Penelope Boothby sculpture is as heart breaking...More
