Found it was open as we walked around the town. Very impressive from an architecture perspective and interesting inside too. Worth a look if you are in the neighbourhood.

A beautiful church. An old building but very in tune with modern day. We went to see an art installation called 'Our Game' about the Shrovetide match. The exhibition was was fantastic but so was the church!!

Visited St Oswald Parish Church for the prime reason of seeing the 5000 clay models depicting the annual Ashbourne town football match. The clay models took up the whole of the chancel and was quite a unique sight. Thanks to the church steeple the church...More

Large parish church in the centre of Ashbourne. Imposing gateway and make sure you check out the top of the pillars. Church itself is very well maintained, some stunning architecture, and beautifully decorated. There’s a discrete area which contains tombs which again is well worth...More

Nothing of particular interest, but an interesting, and quite typical parish church. Worth a quick visit if you're passing.

I came to the church to see the 5000 clay models on display in the chancel. Very unusual and impressive. But this ancient church is well worth visiting in its own right as a structure and also to look at the various tombs.

Quite a large church for the size of town. Nice architecture and the chapel with the family tombs is amazing in terms of ages and quality of the carvings.

A brass plaque in the chapel on the south side of the church commemorates its dedication on 24 April 1241 , loved the fact that this church has not had the modern touch . There is much stained glass in the church
