Easy access. Good routes across a wide range of grades. Often busy in good weather and crowded on weekends with good weather so queues form for the popular routes.

Having climbed here in my younger days it was a pleasure to return after too long an absence. Everything looked steeper, harder and higher - I guess it's an age thing but it still gave me itchy feet and fingers.

First time here and what a great place. We walked from Hathersage and back in just over two hours. Some excellent scenery on the way up and a fantastic view from the top of Stanage Edge. Was very windy though.

Wow! We specifically looked for a walk to take in Stanage Edge as it looks so impressive from below. We took a nine mile hike which started from the car park in Hathersage. However, please note that if you want to park here you have...More

Not too difficult to access the top - a bit of a climb but well worth it for the views and atmosphere. I make an effort to get up to the edge every time I am in the area. Good for the soul.

Pick up a handmade scotch egg for your picnic from Coleman's deli on your way up as you pick up the walk from Baulk Lane and stop by for a coffee and cake on your way back. A lovely day all round.

One of my favourite walks. Excellent views of Hope Valley. Walk can be as long or as short as your desire. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear, we came across a pair with trainers on who were slipping all over the place. High recommend.

I hiked to stanage edge not having any transport. Most people drive to nearest car park and many cycle (though it's very steep!). I walked from Hathersage and it took over an hour (perhaps more, I wasn't keeping tracking) but once there and if you're...More

Have been going here for years. The first place my tutor taught me rock climbing. Such a wonderful place to be. Out in the open, plenty of places to climb in all the elements

Too hard post surgery! Why not try something a little less strenious?

Bear in mind the Edge is very long, so some bits may not have coverage.
Where did you park and how long does it take to walk to High Neb where P&P was filmed? thanks

Follow the signs out of Hathersage for the edge up the quiet lane. Just beyond the cattle grid there is some limited parking. Parking here is approx 40 minutes walk to High Neb depending on your pace If parking full there... More
