It seats about 250 people nad has a range of shows on, from tribute bands, key speakers, local arts festivals etc. It has a great cafe in the foyer providing great lunches and coffee too.

This is a well managed theatre offering a finely tuned programme of variety and theatre productions both a mature and professional. Excellent parking and reasonably priced, the auditorium is modern and proscenium, and the seating is on two levels.

We had a coffee in The Chequer Mead Restaurant and we disappointed to find that the standard was not as it had been in the past .there was less choice of food the decor was really dark and the layout had also changed .
