Description:

Take a walk in the clouds in Wooroonooran National Park just 15 minutes out...

Take a walk in the clouds in Wooroonooran National Park just 15 minutes out of Innisfail. Elevated walkways, a cantilever, and observation tower offer visitors the exhilarating experience of being high in the rainforest canopy, along with providing spectacular panoramic views of World Heritage rainforest landscapes. The Mamu Tropical Skywalk allows visitors to explore the rainforest from the forest floor to the canopy, in comfort and safety. The Skywalk passes through one of the largest-remaining continuous stands of complex vine forest on basalt soils in the Wet Tropics. Enjoy close-up views of rainforest plants, insects and birds, and take in sweeping vistas. Information signs tell of the rainforest's complex web of life and the rich culture and history of the area.

Well worth doing

A very cool thing to do, it is a bit of a walk and you will be required to walk up a lot of stairs but the amazing views are worth it.

We really enjoyed walking through Mamu and the welcome to country is a lovely touch. Make sure you chat to staff and understand what it is you are looking at. It makes the walk that much better!

With a 350 metre long elevated walkway through the canopy, a cantilever, a 37 metre observation tower with 100 steps to the top, and more than 1200 metres of walking tracks, this attraction was an easy walk with several shelters along the way. Take plenty of water with you and sunscreen and a hat are a must. Climbing the 100... More

Worth the trip, $23 for Adult. Great if you are taking the folks out for a stroll. Not too tiring for them and great sights. The staff was friendly.

We thought this tour was good but WA has a much better walk so our expectations were high. I would recommend this if you were in the area. You get to experience good views of the trees.

The walk is peaceful, and not too long for kids but still long enough. The skywalks made a little more exciting for the kids. We also enjoyed stopping and reading about the environment. The view from the tower is very pretty too.

Very Easy walk through the Rainforest, Trails are well maintained and the sky walk platforms very secure. Clean and Tidy and the staff very welcoming and provide good knowledge on the surrounds. Didn't see alot of wildlife but enjoyable walk none the less. Overall a good experience, for tourists not used to the climate ensure you have enough water. tip... More

Thank you for visiting, and for your review. Definitely agree with your comments regarding bringing water, especially as we move into the warmer part of the year. Visitors should keep in mind that we have chilled water fountains on site, so empty water bottles can be filled up before and after the walk. Thanks again! More

I visited with a group of tourists from Holland & was impressed not only by the lovely walk but also the very friendly & obliging staff who not only gave a wonderful introduction upon entry but Roseanne (?) at the entry was even kind enough to call the nearby Babinda Bakery to let them know we were coming to purchase...
