Lucky enough to view the falls in full flow. Spectacular. Suggest make a day of it and also enjoy the Barron River itself. We had a swim - very cold.

The falls while not Niagara are nonetheless quite spectacular and are a nice view on the way up and down from Kuranda.

This was an interesting waterfall, not a lot of flow, but then this is the dry season. It is such a rugged region, and it was fascinating to visit. We drove to the nearby carpark, and the walk down was a very well laid out...More

The walk to Barron falls is super easy and there are lots of informative signs that educate you on the wetlands and surrounding areas. It was very cool. Even though it's dry season, the Falls were still very beautiful, I would recommend for anyone in...More

Wen't to Barron Falls with my wife 10 and 12 year old daughter for a lovely walk down to the George in Kuranda. The walk takes about 10-15 minutes but it is worth the walk. There is parking right in front of the walk and...More

Best seen from the cable car side rather than the railway side. As with all falls, looks more spectacular after rainfall.

Nice boardwalk that takes you up in the rainforest canopy. There are a few different fall viewing points along the way. The falls weren't flowing very much due to the dry season, but the nice shaded walk was well with it anyway. About 30min walk...More

Located at Centenary Park, Kuranda, the Barron river descends from the Atherton Tablelands to the Cairns costal plain. You can Self drive, arrive by skyrail or the historic Kuranda Scenic railway, eitherway the gorge and the falls are stunning

We passed Barron falls on Skyrail and then stopped there on the train on way home. Most spectacular.

Obviously the Falls are far more spectacular during the wet season. Our visit in June didn't do the Falls justice, but it was worth going to, irrespective of the time of year. The walk from the car park is easy for anyone to do and...More
