Welcome to Mareeba Heritage Museum & Visitor Information Centre. Gain an insight into the region's history and attractions by visiting the Mareeba Heritage Museum & Visitor Information Centre. The Centre is situated 63kms from Cairns on the southern outskirts of Mareeba on the Atherton Tablelands and is open from 9am - 5pm, seven days a week. Closed only on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday. Free entry, donations are much appreciated.

What a great little gem almost hidden away behind the Tourist Information Centre. There is lots to see and widen one' knowledge of the area. Plenty of artefacts and historical buildings make up this eye opening enterprise and it is all at no charge. Please...More

This place is so full of interesting displays. We wish we'd had more time to stop and see them all but we were on a time limit so only spent half an hour here.

Stopped by on a recent visit to Mareeba. Enjoyed the history that this museum had to offer. Has a lots of local historical facts and great displays of times gone by.

Stopped here during our day out touring around. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the museum was packed full of items and information. You can walk around at your own pace and there is also a small mock town street outside.
