We make award winning wines from Tropical Fruit and no this does not mean they are sweet and sticky. They range from very dry wines to ports and they are all commercial standard. The wines are single-fruit wines, not blends. All the fruits we use have big flavours and we grow them in the organic way and in our own orchard. The flavours of the fruits are retained in the wine.

My husband and I stopped by on a recent trip to the Daintree. We enjoy our wine and we're curious to try non grape wines. The tasting area is in their beautiful garden surrounded by fruit trees and flowers. I was expecting sweet (which I...More

We chanced upon the Shannondale winery sign after visiting the picturesque causeway and swimming hole on the South Mossman River and on a whim ventured in. Not being a fan of sweet wines I was reassured by the 'not sweet and sticky' signage and my...More

Thank you for your review. We understand the dry palette. That's where we are in the wine scale. Do you know that grapes are one of the highest sugar fruits in the world. The only way to make grape wines dry is to pick them...More

No offense intended, but with many years of South Australian wine industry under my belt and having tried other fruit wines in FNQ I was not expecting to enjoy the product offered for tasting. These guys have possibly mastered a very difficult undertaking. Now its...More

Very impressed with the wines on offer here, the host was very informative, and it was clearly explained that you could have a taste of 4 wines for free. We went there with the intention of buying at least 1, so tasted them all. We...More

Thank you for your review. Yes we offer people 4 wines on us or try them all. If you try them all you finish up with just over a glass of wine. Okay to drive for most people. Cheers, Tony and Trudie Woodall.

We loved tasting so many non-grape wines! Wonderful and homey vibe in a beautiful forest orchard. The couple that lives there and runs the place were very friendly and gave us a very informative tasting of every wine. For such delicious wine that we were...More

Thank you for your review. We are often asked why we don't put the prices up. We know that people are on holiday with a budget, so to put the prices up we are reducing the amount of wines they can buy and that's not...More

This winery is set amongst the most amazing orchard of all the fruits used in their wine! I was a little hesitant about it, don't love the sweet wine but the wine is not sweet, it is well thought out and delicious! The owner was...More

Thank you for your review. We make our wines to match foods, starting with a light dry Mango for the fish and chicken and many others, and finishing with a robust Jaboticaba red wine for all the red meats and stronger tasting foods. We think...More

This little winery is set in the rainforest. The lovely tasting room is under the owners house. Excellent range of wines to try. Owners were lovely and so knowledgeable. The ports/fortified wines are magnificent. Well worth the little detour.More

Thank you for your review. People find our fortified wines startling. They are used to the deep red ports made from grapes and they don't realise that Ports are a style not a taste. They are between about 15% alcohol and 21.9%. They have most...More
