This is a fun family park. You can bring a picnic lunch, bbq, or get food from their snack bar. Its not as "fancy" as some of the water parks now a days, but like the more laid back atmosphere.

Went to Pioneer on a Groupon. It is definitely overpriced without the Groupon. The maintenance of the facility is lacking. While the restrooms started off clean, as the day went on, their cleanliness lacked. There are 5 slides (2 speed slides that are the same; two spiral slides that are the same, and a black hole slide). The lazy river... More

We have been visiting Pioneer Waterland for the last 15 years as a family. It had always been a pleasant experience for all of us, The park has truly gone downhill this year. The Go-Karts are in abysmal shape and the employees are unconcerned and rude,In addition, they have raised the prices. We counted that there were less than 40... More

We were trying to choose between Wildwater & Pioneer. And Pioneer won out. I liked the idea of being able to bring a cooler and spend the whole day there. They have plenty of picnic tables there, in the shade as well. We also saw a few people bring a pop up canopy, which we will definitely be doing next... More

We had our annual family reunion here this year. It was an incredible experience. Perfect accommodations for a large crowd. Picnic area very clean, grass mowed, restroom facilities close and easy access to unload car.

Disappointed with the season so far. The pool has just recently opened. Not much to do in the water except for slides when the pool isn't operational. They said they had issues filling the 2 million gallon pool. Then they are closed the first 3 days of June. This past week they closed 3 days because it was too cold.... More

My kids had a choice between Pioneer Waterland and Wildwater Kingdom. The chose Pioneer Waterland because they feel it is more fun. It is a small park that needs some TLC in terms of updates and maintenance (and they really do need to do a better job cleaning the pools, lazy river, etc), but it does offer "more" to kids... More
