The area has a lot of ethnic history and an unique ambiance. The church is still a magnet for the people there. The restaurants offer a fine menu with emphasis on Italian cuisine.

I've only been here a few times, but each time the area was clean and felt very safe (security was actively patrolling the area). At night, there is a romantic feel to Little Italy and the entire place is covered in glowing bistro lights. There...More

An old neighborhood, whose commercial activity is living off it's romantic past. Themenu's I obseved were mostly 50's comfort food with one or two outliers. In my view not worth the parking hassle.

Definitely worth a trip for great Italian food and pastries. Many restaurants were only open for dinner. Many restaurants had outside dining. On street parking.

Had the best Italian food at Mama Santa's then proceeded to walk one block to the pastry shop Presti's! It was delish! I highly recommend both places.

Little Italy is a great place to walk around, even if you're not planning on eating there. If you are planning on eating there, then there is no shortage of great restaurants just a short walk away!

We ate at Mia Bella and it was outstanding! Then we had dessert at Presti's bakery which was incredible. It was really busy but it moved pretty quickly. Other than the restaurants, there's not much else to do in this area.

Yes. There was a time many, many years ago when that was not true and you may be asking that question because you heard some rumors. I don't think that is true anymore.
