This is such an interesting place, filled with historical figures (of course dead) and wonderful terrain. Our friend from Seattle was delighted with the Garfield monument, the sculptures, Wade chapel and the famous names. We googled to understand the history. Great place to take tourists.

Beautifully manicured gardens, friendly people with free water, tea and cookies to purchase during their attractive Daffodil Blooming days. The time we spent there as a family was tranquil, and meditative. After all, we're going to either be 6 feet under or in a vase!

Best done with a docent, but there lies some of the most prominent Clevelanders of the 20th century. Highlight was the President Garfield tomb and exhibits.

I have frequently visited Lakeview cemetery to walk, and not only is it a beautiful and well maintained cemetery, it had a wealth of local and national history within.

It's more of an architectural museum and a sculpture garden than a cemetery. It's beautiful. Check it out

Cemetery worth a stroll through....just stunning! The richness in culture, dates and scenery draws you in and you forget where you are. Just walking through the areas you lose yourself in the history of the place. We went to visit a loved one and found ourselves there hours later and fair from our original destination. Amazed at the stones from... More

Ok crazy going to a cemetery for fun but it was. The cemetery is beautiful, peaceful and spooky all in one. You can stop in the visitor center for a map to find the famous stones and memorials. The weeping angel is cool and of course President James Garfield memorial. We enjoyed our cold sunny day walking through the grounds... More

Was on a motor coach tour of the area. This site was included by the guide on the bus. Very informative on who was buried there.
