Ever wonder how money works or what the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland...

Ever wonder how money works or what the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland does as part of the Central Bank of the US? Our Learning Center and Money Museum features more than 25 fun, hands-on exhibits that answer these questions and more! We have friendly staff on hand and interactive games, visual exhibits, creative stations and great films that explain everything about money you can think of from how we use it to why it looks the way it looks. Come see our historic lobby, take pics with our money tree, trade coconuts on Barter Island, identify counterfeit bills and even make your own money! All this in the heart of Cleveland, just steps away from other downtown attractions.

Admission is free and photos are welcome.

The museum itself is pretty small, but there's a surprising amount to do. Metal plates to do crayon rubbings, interactive computer stuff, design your own dollar bill with you on it, try to figure out which bills are counterfeit. Little kids will enjoy the rubbings, and adults will enjoy looking at the variety of paper money that circulated in our... More

This attraction is great for kids of all ages (and adults)! As an elementary teacher with some extra time, I wanted to check it out. It was quick, informative, free and very kid friendly! The staff was very nice and helpful. The building is beautiful and the museum, while not very big, contains a lot of interactive activities that teach... More

The building is an absolutely gorgeous older building. The museum is a quick run down of money. Really good for kids and geared to kids. You can grab a bag of shredded money while you're there!

We found the exhibits to be well done and informative but wanted to add this suggestion: There is an exhibit when you go up the stairs that explains the value of compounding interest. I think this is an extremely important concept for Americans, especially young Americans to understand. Consider expanding this exhibit. For example, you could make the point that... More

We took our 9 year old while we were in town. They did a great job of explaining how money and the economy works. Hands on activities made learning fun. As adults we had fun doing the activities. The building itself is beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone with kids.

Went with kids ranging from 2-12, older kids enjoyed it for about an hour. Interactive, interesting, lots of goodies at the end. Can combine with a visit to the cleveland public library next door or public square's new sprinkler park.

This is a must see - just to drop in an look at the lobby area with the orange marble and painted ceilings. It is stunning and grab some shredded money to give as gifts.

A very cool free attraction in the heart of Downtown Cleveland. After passing through the security check at the Federal Reserve, one can only admire the beautiful ceilings inside this building. After a little architectural magic, the next attraction is the small, but interesting, money museum. It's free to visit, and is very informative for people of all ages. Exhibits... More

I enjoyed this museum but it wasn't my son's favorite. I think he would have liked it last year, but as a teenager, not so much. It was fascinating to me how the money moves around I loved how the building interior retains its original look and feel while the exhibits are interspersed.
