On Martin Luther King Day the Hall is open to the public for free. It is not really a place for small kids. The artwork on the ceilings is magnificent. Talk to the box counters and ask them to tell you some of the history. The behind the scenes stories are amazing

If you like orchestral music, then run - don't walk - to Severance Hall when the world-famous Cleveland Orchestra is in town. The building was actually built to house the orchestra, so every detail is designed to maximize your enjoyment of the music. The acoustics are some of the best in the world. As others have said, the building is... More

We came to a concert performed by student of the Cleveland Institute of Music. They were wonderful! I have been here before and seen the Cleveland symphony as well, and they are phenomenal. However, I recently learned that students of the CIM perform here for free concerts. It was so enjoyable! It was a concert of broadway songs, and the... More

I visited Severance Hall with a group tour during my stay in Cleveland. We were able to hear the Pops Conductor speak and give us history of the hall. We even had a special treat of getting to hear musicians warming up for their rehearsal prior to a performance that evening. I cannot wait to go back to see a... More

I love attending concerts of the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall. The music is so much better live rather than any recorded version. Fridays at 7:00 concerts are especially fun: 60-75 minutes of orchestral music followed by a cocktail party in the beautiful lobby with live jazz or other eclectic music. This attracts a much younger crowd.Pre-paid parking is well... More

A world famous orchestra in a beautiful concert hall even kept grandchildren in grade school captivated. The concert had nice lighting effects, a Christmas carol sing along, and an appearance by Santa.
