This urban library has many floors of interesting materials and provides reading spaces that are unique and refreshing. The outdoor reading garden area is very cool. Programs for writers, readers, travelers, and more provide many reasons to visit.

I planned to take out some books. The library staff told me since I did not have a Ohio drivers license I could not take books out. I own property in Lakewood and could produce evidence of that but they would not hear of it. So I pay taxes and I cannot use the facilities of that town- doesn't make... More

My sister insisted we check out the library. Wasn't too excited about it but we went in the building. I was actually amazed. Definitely worth walking through and checking out the beautiful building!!

The Old Cleveland Public Library is beautiful inside and out. We were fortunate enough to view the Shakespeare exhibit, including costumes worn in local plays. Very interesting.

Nice building if you like to view old buildings, huge. Just roam around and take in the details. If you stay downtown it's a short walk.

I think that many people don't take advantage of what the library offers. The interior is amazing as it is. There is a museum inside, and the library has a very diverse collection of book on any topic and in any language.

WOW ~ what a gorgeous building! Was built in the 1800's for use as a public library and has always been public library. Lots of interesting art in and around the building. Great courtyard area between two main library buildings. They had an awesome Shakespeare exhibit when I was there. Could have spent quite a bit more time just perusing... More

Walking around Cleveland, we happened to pass by the public library and poked our heads in just to take a peak. Over the course of the next hour or so, we were entertained by the knowledge, wisdom and kindness by William Spencer, MLIS, who was working at the front desk. His knowledge, enthusiasm and love of the Library while giving... More

Saw the genealogy department and so much more. A stunning venue with endless rooms. The people working there were very helpful and indulged all of our questions.
