I think that many people don't take advantage of what the library offers. The interior is amazing as it is. There is a museum inside, and the library has a very diverse collection of book on any topic and in any language.

WOW ~ what a gorgeous building! Was built in the 1800's for use as a public library and has always been public library. Lots of interesting art in and around the building. Great courtyard area between two main library buildings. They had an awesome Shakespeare exhibit when I was there. Could have spent quite a bit more time just perusing... More

Walking around Cleveland, we happened to pass by the public library and poked our heads in just to take a peak. Over the course of the next hour or so, we were entertained by the knowledge, wisdom and kindness by William Spencer, MLIS, who was working at the front desk. His knowledge, enthusiasm and love of the Library while giving... More

Saw the genealogy department and so much more. A stunning venue with endless rooms. The people working there were very helpful and indulged all of our questions.

At one time it was the largest collection in the country outside of the Library of Congress and New York, and that may still be true. The main building is an architectural treasure.... More

Wandered in and were greeted immediately by a library staffer named Bill who went out of his way to show us around and share helpful tips about Cleveland. Great building, free exhibits.

A friend and I had a blast in the Makerspace. We actually made a wooden sign with the laser printer! Phenomenal! Can't wait to go back and try my hand with more ideas. Call to make a reservation for the computer! What a gem. Great help staff!

This is a gem of a library. Not only is the architecture and interior amazing but they will happily bring out special collections for you to view and regularly have art exhibits and installations on site. A wonderful asset!
