A Christmas Story House, now restored to its movie splendor, is open year round to the public for tours. Directly across the street from the house is the official A Christmas Story House Museum, which features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the film, as well as hundreds of rare behind-the-scenes photos. Among the props and costumes are the toys from the Higbee's window, Randy's snowsuit, the chalkboard from Miss Shields' classroom and the family car. After reliving A Christmas Story at Ralphie's house don't forget to visit the museum gift shop for your own Major Award Leg Lamp and other great movie memorabilia.

Thank you Brian Jones for restoring this place back to what it is today. The house is interactive, the museum has a great collection of memorabilia including the recently added Red Ryder gun from the movie. The gift shop is also Great. This time Brian was there helping out. I love it here and look forward to a future visit.

By far my favorite line of the movie. Must see if you like this movie. We were here this time for the A Christmas Story Run. You can do the 5k or 10k, but PLEASE if you are a walker or slow runner stick to the back. It's incredibly frustrating to get around slow folks especially when the race emails... More

If you haven't seen the movie, STOP!, watch it, then go visit this house to fully appreciate this Americana museum. It's not far from downtown Cleveland and if you visit the house, you'll have some great bragging right during December each year. The guided tour is great and you'll learn more about the movie and some fun facts. Each time... More

I'll be honest - it's in a rough neighborhood. I wouldn't take my kids without my husband with us. The neighbors love to try and get as money out of you as they can for parking, but there is free parking on the road. However, there is nothing bad about the actual experience itself. Just to see the lamp in... More

Christmas story is a classic. If you are a super fan this is the place to go. Really cool to walk through the house and see everything from the movie. They weren't doing guided tours while we were there but I think it would have made looking at the house more interesting. The girl working inside was very nice and... More

My husband and I walked here from our Airbnb the day after Thanksgiving. The house is so much fun to visit and the museum is informative. We were disappointed that there were no tours going so we just wandered the house ourselves. The gentleman at the door told us they felt like being laid back that night. It would have... More

Tour the House from the movie see the real bb gun and props in the museum and then actually go to Ralphies room sit on the couch or get your picture with the real leg lamp. Everything in house is touchable and awesome. The phone upstairs plays the part of the movie where ralphie blames his friend for swearing. Neighbors... More

We were very anxious to go to the neighborhood to see the Christmas Story House.. When we were traveling to the area, the snow began to fall and our excitement grew. Once we arrived at the old home and with the snow falling and saw the Christmas Story Home with the famous leg lamp; It was like stepping into back... More
