I moved to Columbus, Ohio from the Detroit area, home of the Detroit Institute of Arts, which is an absolutely fantastic, and really huge museum. When I visited the Columbus Museum of Art, I wasn't sure what to expect. It's not large, but I love...More

My husband and I spent a day at the Columbus Museum of Art yesterday, and had a really enjoyable time. We are members, so we go here fairly frequently, as the exhibits and events are always changing. Yesterday we toured the Decorator's Show House, the...More

I went in on a day that there was no line, the gift shop had new items for the season, and there were plenty of other activities to join in and make your own art.

We visited the museum to see the home decorating exhibit, the rooms were very interesting and you could tell lots of thought went into their designs.

The expansion of the Columbus Museum has added to the attractiveness of this place. It still features some interesting work from master artists, as well as some wacky new stuff.

Went to see the "Dangerous Woman" and the Bodies @ Work exhibits and thoroughly enjoyed both. Also has a fantastic children's area with numerous "hands-on" features. The museum shop was full of unique and clever gifts.

A tour given by a docent can be helpful to understand the history of the pieces and take a little extra time but it is worth it. Add in time for shopping and it could take about two to three hours.
