The Warther Museum is home of the world famous woodcarvings of steam engines by Ernest Mooney Warther carved out of ivory, ebony, and walnut. Mrs. Warther's button collection numbers over 73,000 buttons in patterns, and her Swiss style gardens still bloom seasonally to this day. The Warther Museum is more than you can imagine as you see what two people created in just one lifetime.

This is an amazing place to take the family. See the work of the worlds master carver. Buy a knife set before leaving. They are guaranteed for life & they will sharpen them free forever. Just a minute from I-77.

Please visit if you are near Dover. We were pleasantly surprised at the museum. Very interesting and both tour guides we had were extremely knowledgeable. Beautiful grounds and gardens. Unbelievable craftsmanship displayed. Now my son is dying for a carving knife from the gift shop!
