This sanctuary is just 60 km from airport and you are guaranteed to see rhinos. We went there from Brahmaputra jungle resort which is 30km away. We took our own jeep as we were 6. As we entered the park, we saw trees either sides with a small route in between. Rhinos were visible from very far. We went deep... More

Pobitora wildlife sanctuary is located at outskirt of Guwahati City in Assam at a distance of around 40 km. The best way to visit is to hire a taxi to Pobitora from Guwahati and return on the same day. For visiting inside the sanctuary one can hire vehicles(Safari) readily available at the gate which have the necessary permission at reasonable... More

Well we had a ride on the elephants and paid 500 bucks for each elephant. they will take you for safari which will last for an hour or may one and half, but surely you will find Rinos there that too in good number, best time to visit this place is in winters.

I visited Pobitora Wild Life Sanctuary on 21-12-2016. The ride from Guwahati (Khanapara) by road took more than an hour and a half. We reached there by 0930 and by then the elephant rides had ceased for the day. The other option is to rent a Maruti Gypsy (mini SUV) operated by private vendors. The cost per ride is INR... More

We were very excited to see Pobitora Wild Life Sanctuary It is not far from Guwahati. We could see one horned rhinos from very near. Apart from rhinos the sanctuary attractions are deer, different type of reptiles and enormous varieties of beautiful birds. We had hired jeep to visit the sanctuary it was such a great time for us.
