About an hour's drive from shillong, the views of the canyons are really beautiful. Try reaching early, for less crowds.

Visited this location twice ...in a yr. Last time it was mid may with majestic clouds raising amongst us with the beautiful expanse of valley covered by natural beauty and different colours. This season in January it was a bit barren but the awesome beauty...More

Nit very popular but very nice place. Its basically a table top mountain overlooking a deep canyon. Directly accessible by vehicle. However no food is available nearby, only black tea is sold by some local villagers...

Breathtaking view from end to end where ever you look. The ride is very long but worth it . The canyons last until the eye can see , we went on a sunny day so got a good view .

It is absolutely a paradise for trekkers and nature lovers. When you are in Meghalaya ....don't miss a chance to visit here.

Laitlum Canyons can be reached up till meadows by car. And about sacred groves yes can be covered in a day from Shillong.

yes, of course. Only the last 6-7 km is bad road, else okay.
