nice but touristy

Pretty crowded since its bang on the highway from shillong, but the series of falls are beautiful nonetheless.Tune out the crowds and enjoy a short visit.

It is a very beautiful water fall which falls in 3 steps. The place is very peaceful and gives a lot of joy to the heart. The air is pure and the sounds of the birds and water falling is like celestial music. The lush green forest that surround the falls and the rock formations make you feel one with... More

I personally find the place overhhyped. May be due to easy accessibility and closeness to city. Shillong has much better falls to visit.

As the signs say, there used to be a rock formation that resembled an elephant but it was destroyed a long time ago. It's a nice walk down to the bottom and back up. The falls were rather small in March. Best to go during or right after monsoon season.

Nothing great about the place. The name comes from an elephant like structured stone which doesn't exists now.

Well it's almost like any other water falls. But exaggerated just because Mr Narendra Modi has visited the place. The entry cost has been doubled as you have to climb down odd 30/40 steps in order to see the 3 levels of the waterfall. It's near the city and not a whole day activity, the visit to this falls will... More

Located at a distance of 12 km from Shillong, these falls, divided into 3 tiers, make for a quick getaway. The place is fairly crowded but it is quite tranquil. Trip here can be coupled with a visit to the Air Force Museum nearby.
