This is an impressive monastary set amidst spectacular hills. However, for me, the small annex where you can light candles (made on the premises) was the icing on the cake.

After visiting two beautiful monasteries at Ralong, It looks very ordinary. Moreover, a water reservoir located in front of the monastery makes it bizarre looking. The building needs painting. The idols in the monastery are very nice.

Lovely views if weather cooperates! Was undergoing repairs to frescoes but still able to see interior. We had a private visit with the Renpoche (abott) which was very wonderful.
