We visited the museum on a really windy day. It is a nice museum that goes through the history of Svalbard, but the museum is quite small and with no interaction. Both which make the entrance fee feel more expensive. Go if you have nothing else to do, but with right expectations

I liked this museum so much, I could have read all their boards and watched all their videos! The information given, was interestingly written, gave you the right amount of details, including some unknown facts. It is practically one big hall with some exhibitions in the middle and fact sheets along the walls. They have different parts i.e. expedition times,... More

I could spend days in this special place, discovering more about the history, culture and biology of the beautiful Svalbard.

We visited as a family of three and we all liked it. It is well planned and exhibited, not a large one - however lots of artifacts and interactive media help you immerse in history.

The museum stands in 1 big room. There is too much reading to do. For the rest, it is very nicely presented. We spent maybe 1 hour there.

Went here for an afternoon. The history of Svalbard is presented with short facts, instead of alot of text. Very nice. The animal exhibit is in the middle of everything, and beautiful presented. Spent almost two hours and was well worth our time.
