Visited with friends. Enjoyed the extensive gardens and water features all pleasantly laid out. It was a warm and sunny day so we visited the cafe and sat outside on comfortable seats. The service was completely disorganized and very slow but the coffee, when it...More

Beautiful park, lovely grounds, beautiful flowers, different sections to walk around the gardens. Really lovely and totally unexpected. We even ate lunch there and it wasn't too expensive and the food wasn't too bad. Defo recommend.

Total surprise! Have been visiting this area for 20 years and always thought this was just a maze. Slight phobia of mazes so never went. Realized this time it is a garden too. Really enjoyed it. Suggest name change to Priory Garden and Maze. Only...More

We came here to experience Norfolk’s only traditional hedge maze. Flukily managed to solve the maze within a few minutes but my girlfriend was lost inside for twenty minutes before finally exiting through the entrance! Thought their entrance fee could be a little cheaper, although...More

A little pricey but some beautiful parts to this garden and a nice potter round butterfly spotting. The maze was fun - got to the middle quite quickly but finding the exit was rather more challenging. The trip was rather spoilt by discovering on our...More

The gardens were beautiful and tranquil. So many different areas to see from a Pine Walk to a Riveria Garden. There are ponds and plenty of seating areas to relax. We then had lunch in the café. The food was excellent and all the staff...More

Stunning gardens with lots of water features, exotic plants, pine woods and herbaceous borders. The cafe looked very good but we didn't go in this time. It is a lovely place to stroll round, even take a book and read in one of the secluded...More

Second visit to the restaurant with my friend, feel quiet upset as I'd heard a lot about the food, we both ordered 6oz rump steak, £14.95. I had mine with just salad, my friend had it as it came off the board, Steak/ mushrooms /...More

The gardens were fascinating and on a cold dull day they helped our mood. The food in the cafeteria was excellent and very fairly priced.

I called in the cafe at priory maze today on our last day of our holiday as a treat . we have been to the cafe many times and loved it there . having had a poor meal there last time we were a bit wary . but on ordering a jkt potato for my husband . and a cheese and tom baguette for me . the meals arrived . husbands was lovely good portions . mine had two small baguette slices. Not much filling chips . but no pot of coleslaw . this was stated on the menu as included . we know that as we always have ordered baguettes . I called the waitress over to ask if they had stopped supplying coleslaw with baguettes now ? She said no they usually do . went back to kitchen to ask . we were then told no they had run out of coleslaw and it would take fifteen mins to make some more . sorry ! As we had sat watching the chef using the griddle and reading text messages with his other hand . I didn't hold out much hope of getting any . But we ate slowly . then my husband asked again is the coleslaw coming ? Waitress asked in kitchen came back with a no they haven't done it yet . I said well can we have a reduction on the bill then please ? As we aren't paying for what we haven't had . waitress then was seen trying to alter the bill on computer with assistance . Another waitress came to clear plates and asked if all had been OK . I said no as we have had to argue about the coleslaw we didn't get . it's spoilt the meal now . She said well we have taken a bit off your bill . On paying the reduction was stated as 50p off . we then had to explain that what was actually stated on the menu hadn't been supplied which was bad . And as my husband said had we been told part of the meal couldn't be supplied we might have ordered something else . but the worse thing was knowing the kitchen staff knew coleslaw was out at the time but still tried to give the meal to us as it was and hope we didn't notice or complain . This really is the last time we will be visiting . the standards and portions have been cut drastically .we were regulars having a static caravan nearby . but unfortunately arguing to get the meal we paid for isn't fun . kitchen staff really don't seem bothered . the waitresses are pleasant enough . it's not their fault . so we didn't want to complain to them . but its really not good service and all we wanted was a complete meal as advertised . thanks for a lovely lunch ruined our day. .not much compensation either .
