Have wanted to visit Dunwich since I was a child but we have always gone up the coast to Walberswick instead. Glad we finally came as this is a fascinating little museum which gives one a welcome break from lying on the beach. Well worth...More

Very well done, lots and lots of information. Was a little "put off" though by the intrusive volunteer who kept interrupting us by insisting he speak with us. He should let visitors walk around and approach him should they need more facts.

The volunteer guide was friendly and enthusiastic about the museum and the area. Entrance is free but a donation is expected. Displays are on two floors with lift access to the upper floor. Displays are on local and natural history throughout the ages. Definitely worth...More

This free small museum is a real treasure. The displays are all superbly presented with items of interest for all ages. The interactive displays and dolls house will keep cildren happy along with draws to open and items to touch. The curators here are both...More

This is a fabulous local museum lovingly run by volunteers. Well set out, informative and interesting it’s everything a local museum should be. And it’s free! Impressive

Really enjoyed our time here. An immense amount to see with lots of recovered artefacts. Love the seats with binoculars upstairs. Highly recommended.

Only a small place, but packed full of interesting information on the history of Dunwich. We were glad that we called in. The museum appears to be run by volunteers, who deserve thanks for giving up their time to enable visitors to the area to...More

This is a great walk around the bits that are left. The last grave. The last stone etc. I taught this lost town as it was still sending an MP to Parliament for years after the sea claimed it. You stumble on the places by...More

Excellent museum. We ventured in not expecting much, but wanting to learn more about the erosion, land loss and coastal defence systems. This truly is a small museum with a big heart. Whoever created the exhibits knew what they were doing: they are well laid...More

We visited the Dunwich Museum today and found it to be a very interesting experience. Usefully as we were with my disabled mother, there was a lift to the first floor. We also watched a very informative film with some excellent photographs from the early...More
