Popped in here during our stroll. Some interesting artifacts and helpful volunteers. Easy enough to find on the road through pevensey. Steep steps to get in, so be warned.

This was a lovely surprise to visit this free compact museum. So much history and the curator had so much knowledge of the Gaol and the surrounding areas. A few stairs to enter but no wheelchair access unfortunately.

Very interesting talk by the curator. Had no idea of Pevensey's history. Also interesting to read extracts from Coroner Court in 18 century and Church

This is a small museum but well worth a visit. Lots of interesting facts and items on show. Underneath is the old prison (gaol) with its own very small exercise yard!!
