We attended Evening with a Celebration of New Ministry (the appointment of a new Archdeacon). The staff were friendly and helpful. The service was approachable.

A beautiful place with an incredible cathedral in the middle of the town, which is quite rare to see nowadays.

Chelmsford cathedral might only be the 2nd smallest Cathedral in England but what in lacks in size it certainly compensates with things of interest. Second smallest cathedral in uk, nice place to visit but very small and maybe not worth a long hall visit but if in Chelmsford then happy days

There is nothing to particularly recommend this church as a place to visit - the architecture seems very odd a complete mish mash of ages including modern "renovations" - certainly not improvements

When we have been shopping in Chelmsford we often visit the Cathedral & just sit & absorb the peace & tranquility of this ancient place of worship. If you are stressed or worried about something, your concerns just seem to dissapear when you are within its welcoming walls away from the hustle & bustle of the world outside.

The architecture is amazing, and I'm informed there are pokéstops within the area, leading to happy children.

Yes, there are several pokéstops and particularly last summer, the Cathedral grounds were full of families. We had a couple of Pokémon workshop days last August so check the website this Summer to see what is planned. Thanks More
