We visited as part of the Heritage Weekend in Essex. The Dean of the Cathedral gave a very interesting talk and tour of the building. It isn't a large Cathedral but is well placed in the centre of town with new works of Art commissioned...More

Well worth a visit for the building but also for the concerts and events. The surrounding grounds are lovely on a sunny day

Having grown up in Chelmsford the Cathedral is a beautiful building and well worth a visit, and spending some time inside to take it all in.

I have been into this cathedral on many occasions and my last visit was for the Chrism oils service during Lent this year. This is a beautiful and spiritual place and definitely a place to visit or even better attend a service.

I feel I must respond to your comments on the modernistic ‘improvements’. Chelmsford Cathedral is not a museum, a snapshot of a previous age but a living, breathing community building in the heart of the city. Yes worship is at the centre of its being...More

If your cultured and not ignorant to British history check the cathedral out. It's a stunning building that is steeped in history.
