As cathedrals go, Salford's would not be high on the list of must do places, but it is worthy of visiting. The architecture is nice, with some really interesting features, the interior is beautifully decorated and makes for a pleasant hour.

This was one of the main reasons we stopped in Manchester. This cathedral is absolutely beautiful. They were doing renovations while we were there, but still saw quite a bit of the church. Simply beautiful.

The architecture of this building is amazing, the area is close to food and drink outlets, inside is traditional although it's a must see for any religious denomination

Very large turn out. We were made very welcome. Helpful ushers as we had a wheel chair and several elderly people.

This is the Cathedral for the Catholic Diocese of Salford, which includes much of Greater Manchester, north of the rivers Mersey and Tame, a large part of Lancashire, as well as a small part of West Yorkshire. Visitors are most welcome!

It is a Catholic Church - the diocesan Cathedral of the diocese of Salford. It is, of course, a Christian Church.
