I love this place, the history is amazing, the museum is well presented and laid out. The village and river are very tranquil and you can easily spend a full day here. Walks along the river are pleasant, or you can take a river cruise. The entrance fee is very reasonable and at the end of your visit there is... More

A pretty and interesting place. The 30 minute boat trip was very pleasant. And the museum was much more interesting than expected. Nice food in the pub inside Buckers Hard. Just very pleasant place to sit and watch the dogs and seagulls.

My boyfriend and I (we are an older couple) spent nearly the whole day (11-5) here on a lovely sunny Sunday. I purchased the tickets online (including the river cruise) and we arrived early to benefit from the first river cruise which was excellent, so peaceful and quiet and very good historical commentary in a very untouched landscape. We visited... More

Steeped in significant nautical history yet tranquil. Very pleasant river cruise lasting 30 minutes was inexpensive. Well worth a visit.

I've been to Bucklers Hard Museum many times, paid admission and enjoyed my visits, even taking relatives to the attraction. On this occasion all I wanted to do was have a pleasant walk from Bucklers Hard to Beaulieu along the PUBLIC FOOTPATH down by the Beaulieu River. No. There is no longer anywhere to park. The car park attendant informed... More

Thought about going here many times but never have. Now I wished we'd allowed longer there as in 2 hours we packed in a village guided tour, a boat trip, a visit to any open house / chapel and then the wonderful Museum in which we ran out of time. What a wonderful place full of history. Will definitely return.... More

Really lovely place. Easy to find, good car park. Great value for money. Excellent museum. We also went on one of the free guided tours which was excellent. The lady wore period costume and had excellent knowledge, made us laugh too. Well worth a visit. Lovely cafe.
