this is definately worth a visit. although not huge. it contains alot of interesting history about kington. which i found fascinateing. you are just left to your own devices while you look round and its free to get in. but if you want to leave...More

A variation of exhibits, including Roman pottery, coins, fossils, historic tools/implements, an interior of an old pharmacy, old children's toys and much more. Great that it's free to enter although it's well worth making a donation to keep the place alive. Perfect for all ages...More

The museum was free which is always a plus! It was packed with loads of interesting exhibits, including the skeleton of the circus elephant found in Kington. Hubby was interested in the by gone railway, so we enjoyed watching the working model and chatting to...More

Wonderful place full of interesting items reviewed most months....I visited in Kington show week very impressed as the staff are all volunteers....lovely atmosphere and if your in Kington go and have a visit Rob the main man is brilliant xxxxx

Small but interesting museum covering local history. Has some interesting exhibits on the local WWII air base and farming history

Skilfully put together, you walk through the door and are transported to another era. A young soldier's garments, 50's couple with music when requested, the local school with photos and the ;dreaded report'. An exquisite grandfather clock, donated by a couple in Kent. Farm exhibits...More

OK, it's small .. very small .. but a coin minted in Kent 1200 years ago found locally is amazing in concept. Not much to look at but interesting nevertheless. Also the elephant exhibit is interesting!
