This is a very interesting place to visit for grown ups. A real pity it's spoilt by the cheap and tacky shops at the entrance.

The needles are great to see, but you don't get too much more by visiting the battery. It has an interesting tunnel to view the needles head on, and it's great for children to learn more about the area. But I didn't get too much...More

after parking (£4) there is a bus that takes you to the two battery's. Worth starting at the new battery and walking down to the old one later. Some great camera shots of the needles and passing ships. Good cafe at the old battery with...More

Free car park if you go at silly times out of season. Needles Theme Park thankfully closed - I'm certain somebody likes it! The Needles Battery is well worth the walk - wild and wooly and crumbling. Nearly got blown away!!

Closed Xmas/Boxing day, New Years Day, but only open weather permitting 10am to 4pm. Hoteliers will have more info, this is a bleak, windy location, £5 parking. We went mid September, good luck Xmas time.
