lovely viewpoint for this historic landmark. there is a fence...but just pop your mobile lens up to one of the holes to miss the wire out. someone told me they have seen foxes in the fields out there that are not camera shy at all, make sure you go on the chairlifts for a one in a life time experience-... Absolutely beautiful views looking out onto the sea. Everything was closed and understandably so as it's low season however the coffee shop and sweet shop and think the gold place was open. The variety of cakes was ok but looked all bought in and seemed to be a little tired and could of done with a spruce up. Lovely little... More

It took us about 15 minutes to walk from the car park at Alum Bay to the Needles Battery then over to the rocket testing station. The sun was going down on a beautifully clear sunny winter afternoon. Seeing the cliffs of Alum Bay lit by the sinking sun and the clear calm blue sea was quite special. The view... More

The Needles are an amazing natural phenomenon jutting out of the sea. And Alum Bay with its different coloured sands is beautiful. You can even visit the Sand Shop and buy some!

Beautiful views, a great trip around The Needles with a speed boat - definitely worth a try! Nice attractions at the top of the hill, if you like that sort of thing, quite crowded though.

A great day out, for family or individuals. Fantastic views, a bus ride to the Battery, or a walk, gives wonderful views of the coloured sands of Alum Bay. The chair lift or steps to a beautiful beach, with a boat ride for a close up of the Needles Rocks ( weather permitting ). A good range of attractions in... More

We visited at Christmas on 25th. The walk from the car park was an easy 30 minutes walk,(suitable for anyone) but we were disappointed that it was behind gates and we couldn't see it fully. You have to pay an entrance fee, but it's closed at Christmas which I didn't check before. I still managed to take some pictures from... More

Me and my family took the bus there and when we got there (bare in mind it was 14:00) everything was closed and we ended up getting on the bus again because what was the point of going to the pier if all the shops were closed???
