What a lovely pub. Warm, friendly and busy but not too crowded. Quick service and three G&Ts for £8 felt very cheap in comparison to London prices. A lovely beer/smoking garden is situated out the back of the bar.

Loved this little Pub, hidden down a side street. Masses of old historical character and a good selection of British Ales. Strongly recommended!

We decided to seek out the Ship Inn after reading the entry in Camras' Good Beer Guide, its about 5 min walk up Middle street from the centre of town. What a gem. Fantastic unspoilt interior, together with a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff & locals. Excellent choice of Real Ales, all well kept and great value prices! No... More

No juke boxes, no TV. Good selection of beers, some of which must be the cheapest in Deal. Lively atmosphere and friendly staff. A proper pub and my favourite in Deal.

Visited Deal on the 30th December, out for a drink in the town and the locals recommended the Ship. When we arrived the staff were very friendly and locals as well. Ale on offer Timothy Taylors was spot on, the pub was well decorated with naval memorabilia! We visited late afternoon, and the Ship became very busy with seating at... More

What a Gem of a place this is. We stumbled across it and we're glad we did. The service was excellent a great selection of beers on offer. What a wonderful atmosphere this place has .Steeped in history ,memorabilia on the walls to keep the mind occupied. Two bars and a lounge. It almost felt like we were stepping back... More

The Ship Inn is a great pub hidden down Middle Street in Deal. Apart from Wetherspoons they are probably the cheapest pub in Deal, giving the Kent micro pubs a run for their money. I bought a pint of Dark Star Hop Head, served in top condition and it was only £2.60. I am sure it was about £3 the... More

We loved this charming pub. They don't serve food or have fruit machines, they just serve good beer in a friendly manner. we loved it!

As everyone has been saying a great little pub... except in the winter when it really smells of dog.
