Interesting centre of town old scenic castle, grounds and moat - with gatehouse and keep still standing (open to visitors). Actual site goes back to Norman Times. Overlooks the River Medway with riverside walks. Plenty of seating and lovely surrounding grounds. Also a short walk from the grounds takes you into Tonbridge Recreation Ground with Swimming Pool and miniature Railway... More

Quite a nice attraction in a small town. Not a big one. But makes you feel closer to the history of the place. A good start for long walk in the near park

Was a lovely castle with very interesting information, could even go right out onto the top of the castle and look down at the sights below and surrounding.

Took our luncheon stop here on a mystery coach tour and spent a pleasant hour or so picnicking and wandering the grounds of this fascinating castle. Lovely walk round here with the other half. Lots of stones, lots of history, well maintained. Worth an hour of your time.

Went on a short tour of the castle to remind me of my childhood when I used to go regularly. Nothing seems to have changed from 40 years ago. Well kept lawns and buildings. Dont think you need too long there but a walk around the park and river even in February was refreshing and memory provoking
