A great golf course for Medium/High handicap golfers with wide forgiving fairways and excellent greens. The club house is good with good food and drink at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit. Golf packages are available and stay at the adjacent Stapleford Park Hotel

I agree with other reviews about the golf course, a comment my colleague made - looks like a farmer's field- It is a long course and not very inspiring to play. Greens very challenging and fairways in good condition. We probably won't go back as we pass Rutland water golf course to get there which is much more memorable

This is a true golf course. Very challenging if you want to be challenged. Polite and respectful management. Truly a recommended place to go

Played on Xmas Eve and have to say I really enjoyed the course. Tee to green the course was in good condition though I have to agree with some of the previous reviews and say the course is somewhat bland. Also, it is a long walk what with the walk between some greens and the next tee being a bit... More

Played yesterday on a warm afternoon. Just as well, as I would imagine it to be a miserable affair if it was cold and windy. The course is exposed and open, especially the back nine, and presents a number of challenges. The rough is just that - rough, and is long enough to snaffle any golf ball that strays from... More

I have played this course a few times and enjoy it a lot. Colleagues commented on the fact it was a bit bland and featureless however I disagree and would definitely play the course again. It is usually in very good condition and quiet too which is always nice. However on the other side I have to say the food... More

I can honestly say this is the best course I have played for a while. The layout of the course is exceptional, it really makes you play clever golf. The bunkers were fair penalties for wayward shots and the rough was tough but fair. The greens were not quite as good as the rest of the course, but I will... More
