It was interesting to see what a life at sea would have been like. I am sure children would enjoy it although I didn't go with any! My uncle worked on the trawlers, he would have loved it.The only negative thing I would say is that some of the exhibits looked tired and in need of a lick of paint.... More

We visited here this week and had a lot of fun as a family. The age range of our party was 82 - 3 years old. We all picked a "job" (I was skipper) and went to explore. We opted out of the boat tour as we have x2 autistic children and we were unsure on how they would react... More

We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The place was very quiet. We followed the tour which is very well laid out and tells the story of the fishing industry. It was very informative & the kids loved it. The guided tour of the 'Ross Tiger' trawler was brilliant. The guide was en ex trawlerman and was full of tales.... More

As an ignorant Midlander, I’ve never really paid much attention as to how fish ended up on my plate……. Till now. The Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre on the Alexandra Dock, is an informative and fascinating look at the dangers facing the fisherman who went out to sea 60 years ago. Entrance fees are £6 adult, £2 children & £4 concessions,... More

Then walked around the heritage centre which gave more information much of which is interactive for children and adults alike. I will definitely bring other guests here. After viewing heritage... Great place to visit if you want to experience what life was like on a Trawler. It sounds dull, but it's not! Get this, you can have a go at morse code on one of those machines, and stand in the wheel house of a trawler and act out any scene from the 'Navy Lark' (If your old enough to... More

It was a joy to read your review, thank you! And don't worry, we know that your daughter didn't cause the sinking of the LAFOREY! We're so pleased that you enjoyed your visit, and thank you for helping us to share the message that our 'fishing heritage' is way more exciting than it at first sounds! There's more danger, adventure... More
