This is the first time I've visited Plumpton Rocks near Harrogate. A beautiful location with interesting rock formations and a lovely walk around the lake. However, it is very steep at times and there aren't any signs from the car park showing where to go...More

Wonderful place to walk around, it has a prehistoric atmosphere in a good way. Took loads of photos, will go back in the Autumn when the leaves are in colour, I am sure it will be even more astonishing.

Walking on a Sunday it was a little crowded but not too bad for parking etc. At 3.50 per person wasn't too bad if you bring a ouch and take your time there's lots to explore. Interesting place and well worth a visit

This place is wonderful. It has everything a lake, paths, rocks just waiting to be climbed and lots of secret places to explore. Great for kids as they can play on their own and be safe, and for adults who want an adventure.

Unspoilt from tourism. Lots of places off the footpath to investigate. Great for kids to be entertained. Good for a gentle stroll.

I visited late afternoon with my 2 children, we all thoroughly enjoyed our walk round the lake.... We fed the ducks and my eldest boy enjoyed his adventure in the rocks. Will definitely return

Returned to Plumpton last week after the new opening, it's a nice place to explore with the kids and then have a good picnic, it's also good for sitting and sketching or painting.

Think it's only open March to October and then only at weekends and bank holidays. Think it's staffed by volunteers but definitely worth a visit 👍
