We had a lovely walk round the gardens and saw many trees, most of which were named. We were lucky to also be allowed to see the private garden which was ablaze with colour.

The gardens and arboretum are extensive and peaceful. The tea room is lovely with a wonderful range of home baked cakes. The soup and salads are also good although the portions are a little parsimonious for the price.
