This is an English heritage place. You will not spend a long time here but it is in the most beautiful setting and the history of the place is interesting

This beautiful ruined abbey was on our agenda and was even better than expected. While not as big as some of the more well known abbeys it showed how wealthy the abbeys were. The audio guide is a must (and free) as it gives insights...More

I was alerted to this place by brother in law and was not disappointed. Thanks to my Hassra card I have free/reduced entry to English Heritage but £5 is the usual price. It was atmospheric, peaceful and calm. Useful booklet and audio guide. Nice mix...More

The ruins of Much Wenlock Priory are wonderful. The church must have been an impressive sight for what's there is fantastic. At first sight I thought the church was just part of it, but what I thought was the aisle is actually the transepts.

We visited the priory around ten years ago and it was fantastic but on this latest visit it's clear that it's not as well looked after. The feature garden with topiary and manicured gardens has overgrown a bit and the audio tours run out of...More
