Interesting visit but it was very muddy between the areas of the station. Shame there are not enough explanations about what you are seeing but if approached the staff are very knowledgeable.

Hugely impressive to visit on a day when the big engines are running. Massive scale of the Victorian engineering and the restoration job done by volunteers demands respect. The workshops have also been beautifully brought back to life.

Really interesting place to visit however I wouldn't recomend it for very young children as they would probably get bored very quickly.

Many thanks for your review. On steaming days we have a play and dressing up area for our younger visitors and, of course, families can follow our "Rat Trail"
