Re-opened in 2010, the Centre incorporates the former Bass Museum and tells the story of the birthplace of british beer, its people and the history of brewing in the UK. Our tour guides offer daily tours at 11.00am and 2.00pm each day and really bring the story to life. Sample some of the excellent real ales brewed at the Centre's Worthington Micro Brewery or enjoy a bar meal or a full flagon banquet in our restaurant with a beer and food guide to help you appreciate the flavours of beer. The Centre's corporate and function rooms (and our 400 capacity permanent marquee) are set in the historic brewery buildings and offer a great venue for your company function, weddings, parties and social gatherings.

We visited on a cold and very wet day, but were nonetheless greeted with a very sunny and warm welcome. There is a small coffee shop at reception and tours begin from this area. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, but he delivered information in a humorous and interesting way. The exhibits are well displayed, the shire horses gorgeous. There were... More

We happened upon this site on line and decided to visit. A little surprised by the length of the guided tour (90 mins) but gave it a whirl never the less . It was 90 minutes well spent and passed in a flash. It was interesting, informative and well presented by our tour guide who was 'steeped in ale' (but... More

I wasn't sure wether our visit today would be up my street or not as i don't actually drink beer/ale etc however i was very pleasantly surprised. There is loads to see and the tour guide was great. We found it really interesting to find out about the brewing process itself & the history of the place. Definately worth a... More

We spent an enjoyable afternoon here. We first visited the Bass museum years ago. Great to go back and see new exhibits. The restaurant is excellent. A museum that is a little different.

Nice to learn how ale was made, and to see the old vehicles and some equipment. Just felt that the shop was poorly stocked, aren't what I hoped it would be. We walked round first, then went on the guided tour. Do the tour, but also have the time to look at the exhibits at your own pace.

Had a great day at the National Brewery centre. With a partner in a wheelchair and not a great museum lover we found that the whole experience was wheelchair friendly. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept the tour moving at a comfortable pace. Great to see the horses and vintage / novelty vehicles as well as learning about... More

Allow yourself plenty of time when visiting The National Brewery Centre. The guided tour takes around 90 minutes, but you need to have another walk round to catch the things you don't have time to stop at. Our tour guide Des, was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. Then if your feeling hungry, stay and have lunch at... More

This visit was a group booking as part of a birthday break just outside of Burton. I thought I'd go along as it could be interesting. Glad I did because this was far more then interesting. Our tour guide knew his stuff and was able to tell us about the technicalities of brewing in an engaging way while providing history... More

We decided to have a day out somewhere where we had never been before. We WERE going to Trentham Monkey Gardens but as we arrived in the Stoke area this morning, it was obvious that an open air trip was out of the question, so we carried on to Burton on Trent. another 30 miles or so, to visit the... Thanks for your review. Really sorry to read that you are unable to get into our car park. The scooter rally is an annual event but this year the numbers of attendees was huge leaving little room for our normal guests. We will ensure that next year this is flagged up on our website. Please accept our apologies. More
