Situated in a pretty Georgian town house the museum offers a fascinating insight into aspects of Farnham's past, not least its tradition of hop growing and harvesting. It also has one or two interesting paintings, a delightful commemorative quilt which has all kinds of details,...More

Free and easy to spend an hour or two looking around especially in the room containing local records - the fate of locals in WW1 for instance. Shame there is not more to show how the town and district has grown and changed in size...More

Farnham museum offers a great deal to those interested in local history and is visited by the children of all the local schools. They are always holding events of interest and are geared up to making it interesting for children.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Farnham and have an hour or two to spare. Very interesting and the staff are helpful.

There are only a few rooms to explore and nothing of great interest in any of them. I don't feel I've learnt much about Farnham except it was once important for hops and had a part to play in the war.

having been to so many town museums around the country this is a let down. I didn't find the displays very interesting or absorbing myself so I couldn't really blame my 11 year old grandson for being less than motivated. It's a shame because the...More
